Developed by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with Dalian Rongke Energy Storage Technology Development Co., Ltd. (referred to as "R&D Energy Storage Company"), the "MW Class Full" vanadium flow battery system is a breakthrough product with independent intellectual property rights. This system utilizes a 352kW/700kWh battery cell system module and successfully passed the national energy scientific and technological achievement appraisal organized by the National Energy Administration on March 29th in Beijing.

Li Ye, Director of the Energy Conservation and Technology Equipment Division at the National Energy Administration, attended the review meeting and delivered a speech. A panel of experts, including Academician Yang Yusheng from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and seven other professionals such as Wang Zhiyu, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd., reviewed the technical report presented by Ma Xiangkun, Minister of Design at Rongji Energy Storage Company. They also examined user application reports, test results, and new technology documentation. The expert group unanimously concluded that the 352kW/700kWh battery cell system module features a reasonable design, stable performance, and high reliability. This module has already been deployed in a 5MW/10MWh wind farm energy storage power station, achieving grid-connected operation. The results are considered innovative, with energy efficiency, power density, and safety performance reaching international advanced standards.

The successful development of this technology marks a significant step forward in the industrialization of flow battery technology, offering promising prospects for future large-scale energy storage applications. With its proven performance and reliability, this system is expected to play a key role in supporting renewable energy integration and improving grid stability across China and beyond.
