If the three-end mechanical seal is used, the safety effect is there, but the cost of the mechanical seal is very high and the operation is very complicated, because it requires a sealing liquid and a flushing water, and it is necessary to carry out the two liquids. Another option is a single-end dry-grinding mechanical seal (not dry gas seal), which can be filled with inert gas protection (such as nitrogen), but it has many disadvantages and narrow conditions, such as the line speed of dry-grinding mechanical seals. It can't exceed 2m/s, it has sharp noise when used. It starts to form graphite powder after 3 months, and the service period is very short (six months to one year). Because this mechanical seal is a special material for sealing, the use period should be extended as much as possible, because the process requires the treatment of toxic and hazardous materials, and each treatment is a dangerous hazard. Therefore, magnetic drive sealing is the first choice.
All of the above are theoretical situations. In actual enterprise production, there are still many uncertainties. The choice of magnetic drive seals is slightly more expensive than ordinary mechanical seals, and it requires special attention when using them. Check whether the oil level of the reducer is normal. When starting for the first time, the motor should be jogged to confirm that the motor is turning to meet the requirements, and in the non-pressure state, use the alternative medium for 2 hours.
