Since the difference between the shaft ring and the seat is minimal, it's crucial to install them correctly to avoid mistakes.
Additionally, there should be a gap of 0.2 to 0.5 mm between the thrust bearing seat and the housing bore. This small space allows for minor misalignments due to manufacturing errors or installation inaccuracies. It ensures the bearing can adjust itself during operation, preventing collisions and ensuring smooth functioning. Without this clearance, the bearing could suffer serious damage.
