1. Before applying insulation, ensure that the facilities and pipelines are leak-free, dry, clean, and free from oil and rust. In areas with high humidity or moisture risk, it's recommended to apply a protective coating to enhance corrosion resistance.

2. To minimize heat loss, all joints of the insulation boards and blankets must be tightly sealed. When using multi-layer insulation, stagger the joints to prevent thermal bridging, especially during cooling operations where cold bridges must be completely avoided.

3. For outdoor insulation or in areas prone to mechanical damage, use rock wool products with a metal or plastic outer sheath. Pay special attention to sealing seams and joints, and consider using adhesive for additional protection. The overlap between layers should be at least 100mm to ensure full coverage.

4. Cold insulation requires a moisture barrier on the cold surface. In extremely low-temperature environments, use resin-free rock wool, and make sure the moisture barrier is also fire-resistant to meet safety standards.

5. When temperatures exceed 200°C, proper thermal protection is essential to prevent expansion from affecting the thickness and density of the insulation material.

6. For large-diameter or flat wall equipment, add insulation nails when temperatures exceed 200°C. Ensure the outer layer is securely fastened and well-sealed to maintain performance and durability.

7. If the insulation object is vertical and tall, install positioning pins or support rings at intervals no greater than 3 meters to prevent slippage due to vibration or movement.

8. Avoid outdoor insulation or cold preservation work during rainy weather. If unavoidable, implement proper rain protection measures to protect the insulation system.

Rock Wool for Exterior Walls

When used for exterior walls, rock wool must provide sufficient structural strength and tensile resistance. To meet these requirements, manufacturers often increase the density of the material and adjust the glue content during production.

Basalt-based rock wool is considered the best raw material option. It offers excellent thermal insulation properties, fine fiber structure, and superior tensile strength, making it ideal for most construction projects in domestic applications.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure long-lasting and effective insulation performance while meeting both functional and safety standards.
