Since the beginning of last year, the "2010 Ringier Packaging Industry Technology Innovation Award" has gained significant attention from both domestic and international packaging machinery manufacturers. The competition has seen a strong participation, with an expert jury evaluating all entries. In the end, 24 innovative technologies and 29 representative products were selected as winners. Notable attendees at the awards ceremony included Mr. Chen Yuxiang, Secretary General of the China Packaging Federation's Packaging and Printing Committee; Mr. Zhang Yaoquan, Chairman of Zhejiang Economic and Trade Commission and Zhejiang Packaging Technology Association; Mr. Xiong Weijun, Secretary General of Guangdong Packaging Machinery Association; Mr. Wei Nanjie, Director of the China Office of the American Machinery Manufacturing Association; and Mr. Bo Jinning, General Manager of Huahan International Conference and Exhibition Shanghai Co., Ltd. This event brought together industry leaders, experts, and manufacturers to celebrate innovation in the field. One of the highlights of this year’s award was the 30% increase in participating companies compared to last year. The number of applicants in the packaging materials category doubled, making it a central focus of the competition. Technologies such as polyurethane adhesives, fresh-keeping packaging films, cold-melt film technology, and new paper packaging materials showcased the collaborative efforts of enterprises, universities, and national key laboratories. These innovations represent China’s independent research and development with full intellectual property rights, marking significant progress in sterilization, energy efficiency, and environmental protection. Another notable aspect of this year’s awards is the expansion of product categories, reflecting the growing diversity and depth of the industry. Three new categories—Injection Processing Technology, Post-Press Processing Machinery, and Packaging Auxiliary Equipment—were added to the competition. In his speech, Mr. Mike Hay remarked, “These developments indicate that the packaging industry is transitioning from semi-automatic to fully automated systems. Current packaging machinery solutions aim to provide more comprehensive and integrated options for businesses. These trends demonstrate that the entire packaging machinery sector has made substantial progress in reducing production costs and improving efficiency.” This article is from: http://
